For West Lake Hills City Council, Place 2
Margaret Moore is a Waco native who has called West Lake Hills home since 1984. With over 50 years of legal and public service experience, Margaret offers a unique combination of administrative knowledge and a deep commitment to the safety and character of our community.

She has served our region as the Travis County District Attorney, Travis County Attorney, and twice as a Travis County Commissioner.
As Travis County Attorney, she strengthened DWI enforcement and collaborated with the Tax Assessor/Collector to improve the tax collection system for the County. As County Commissioner she made substantial contributions to expanding emergency services and to complete the acquisition of Travis County acreage for the Balcones Canyonlands Conservation Plan. As Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Medicaid Fraud Division, she was lead counsel in cracking down on pharmaceutical fraud, leading to a $180-million judgment in the State's favor. As District Attorney, she reintroduced a focus on prosecutions and victim's rights, returning the focus to matters the office was intended to serve.
Margaret and her husband, Robert Oliver, are the proud parents of three and grandparents of eight. Her local involvement includes years of service with the Travis County Child Welfare Board and the Seton League House.

"Margaret’s commitment to community runs deep, as shown by her more than three decades of public service. Her knowledge of how local government works—and just as importantly how it should not—will be a great benefit as we navigate future challenges. I am thrilled she is running for a seat on our City Council, she has my full support."
Linda Anthony"The City cannot solve many of our fundamental challenges alone—among them water, wastewater, fire preparation, and cut-through traffic. Margaret’s deep relationships with the City of Austin and Travis County, combined with her unmatched legal expertise, are invaluable."
James Vaughan"Margaret is thoughtful, deliberate, and decisive and over a lifetime of public service has demonstrated impeccable integrity. West Lake Hills would be fortunate to have such a proven problem solver on the City Council."
Jane Noble"I have seen Margaret's dedication to Travis County firsthand. Her commitment to fiscal responsibility and public safety makes her the ideal candidate for City Council."
